O assunto não é a construção, é o que a iluminação da rua faz com ela — uma luz que iguala tudo o que não tem fonte própria e deixa aparecer só o que outra fonte alcança. Daí a divisão do quadro em azul frio, laranja e a nota vermelha da janela. A cor não é tratamento: é fato físico da rua, reconhecido e enquadrado.

The work of premeditation: the artist saw the house one night and returned the next with the decision already made. The subject is not the building itself, but what the street lighting does to it—a light that levels everything without a light source of its own, allowing only what another source reaches to emerge. Hence the division of the frame into cool blue, orange, and the red note of the window. The color is not a treatment: it is a physical fact of the street, recognized and framed.
