A única obra feita deliberadamente para a série, e a única em que a artista conhece quem mora de um dos lados. Duas fachadas contíguas, opostas em tudo — abundância de um lado, contenção do outro — e nenhum muro entre elas: só uma calha. A composição foi decidida antes do disparo, com a cruz e os quatro campos que permitem a comparação. Sem a geometria, seriam duas casas na mesma foto; com ela, são dois casos do mesmo tipo, e a diferença fala sozinha.

The only work made deliberately for the series, and the only one in which the artist knows who lives on one side. Two adjoining façades, opposite in every way—abundance on one side, restraint on the other—with no wall between them: only a gutter. The composition was decided before the shutter was released, with the cross and its four fields creating the structure for comparison. Without the geometry, they would simply be two houses in the same photograph; with it, they become two instances of the same type, and the difference speaks for itself.
