Duas estão próximas, quase encostadas, e ainda assim voltadas para o mesmo lado, sem se encarar. A imagem está espelhada em relação ao negativo, por erro de digitalização descoberto décadas depois, e a decisão sobre a orientação permanece em aberto — declarada no documento em vez de descoberta depois.

The opening work of the series and the second earliest dated image in the documented body of work. Six figures scattered across a departure platform, backlit in the morning mist: a porter pulling a cart, five passengers, and no verifiable eye contact among them. Two stand close together, almost touching, yet both face the same direction without looking at one another. The image is reversed in relation to the negative, due to a scanning error discovered decades later, and the question of its orientation remains open — stated in the documentation rather than discovered after the fact.
