Um homem sentado sozinho numa zona de sombra com um espaço público inteiro ao sol do outro lado. Toda a luz está disponível e nenhuma alcança a pessoa — o degrau ao lado está queimado de claridade e o corpo ocupa uma cavidade escura do seu tamanho exato. As diferenças medem o que mudou: em 1978 a fotógrafa está fora, na praça iluminada, e dispara uma vez com receio de ser vista; em 2019 está dentro da sombra, do mesmo lado.

The work that reveals the structure of the series, and reveals it through repetition: forty-one years before Greenwich, the same scene. A man sits alone in a pool of shadow, with an entire public space in sunlight on the other side. All the light is there, yet none of it reaches him — the step beside him is bleached by brightness, while his body occupies a dark recess exactly his size. The differences measure what has changed: in 1978, the photographer is outside, in the sunlit square, and takes a single shot, afraid of being seen; in 2019, she is inside the shadow, on the same side.
