A obra que inverte o procedimento da série. Nas demais ninguém olha para ninguém; aqui, pela primeira vez, há olhares dirigidos — dois meninos voltam a cabeça para a mesma pessoa. E o que encontram não é um rosto: a máscara veneziana cobre precisamente os olhos e deixa a boca à mostra, de modo que se vê um sorriso largo sobre dois buracos escuros e não é possível sequer verificar para onde aquela pessoa está voltada. A série chega ao caso-limite: alguém é finalmente olhado e permanece igualmente inacessível.

The work that reverses the series’ procedure. In the others, no one looks at anyone; here, for the first time, there are directed gazes — two boys turn their heads toward the same person. And what they encounter is not a face: the Venetian mask covers precisely the eyes while leaving the mouth exposed, so that a broad smile appears beneath two dark holes, and it is impossible even to tell which way that person is facing. The series reaches its limit case: someone is finally looked at and remains just as inaccessible.
