A obra em que a série se vira para dentro. Três colunas dividem o campo em faixas verticais e confinam a figura ao vão da esquerda; os outros dois entregam um parque em pleno uso. O encosto do banco acrescenta uma segunda grade, de ripas, sobre o corpo sentado. Entre cinco quadros, a autora escolheu aquele em que a cabeça está baixa — um homem sentado na sombra contemplando a paisagem estaria descansando; de cabeça baixa, está em outro lugar. É a primeira obra em que a artista declara que aquela posição é a dela.

The work in which the series turns inward. Three columns divide the field into vertical bands and confine the figure to the opening on the left; the other two open onto a park in full use. The back of the bench adds a second grid, this one of wooden slats, across the seated body. From five frames, the artist chose the one in which his head is bowed — a man sitting in the shade contemplating the landscape would be resting; with his head bowed, he is somewhere else. It is the first work in which the artist states that his position is her own.
