The only work in the series that exists in an explicitly stated relationship with another: the artist names it as a continuation, turning the earlier work into the first part of a pair. Two years separate them, and the warmth has shifted in scale — in the first it is a point; here it has taken over half the frame, spilling from the lights of a subway station. It is also the first time she declares an unforeseen addition to be more significant than the original intention.
