The two lights on equal terms: the glowing globes of an ornamental lamppost and the moon, both sharply defined against a sky the artist could hardly believe. The composition was constructed with the only resource available: the position of her body. This is the work in which she celebrates complete sharpness — and, within the same series, the exact opposite of the image that makes a case for technical insufficiency.
